Annette Dirac

Dr. Annette Dirac is working as advisor research funding at IXA office UvA-HvA.

Annette Dirac studied Biology at the University of Aarhus, Denmark and obtained her PhD with a thesis regarding aspects of the molecular biology of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Following this she worked as a researcher at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, focusing on genetic screening to identify new genes involved in cancer development, and managing her group’s participation in an European Network of Excellence from 2007 - 2011. Annette then joined a grant advising agency, gaining vast experience in EU grant applications and the management thereof.
Annette has been working as advisor research funding at the UvA since July 2013. She advises researchers from the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences and Faculty of Science, covering both Dutch and International (predominantly EU) grant applications.
