Valorisation visualised

Last winter IXA made a special portrait series of researchers who have made their mark on valorisation. It has become a unique portrait series consisting of 14 portraits of researchers working at the UvA, HvA, AMC, VU and VUmc. The portraits were made by photographer Fred van Diem.

With this portrait series, IXA wants to exhibit the valorisation of research in an original way. The researchers have been photographed by Fred van Diem and were portrayed outside the setting of their research lab or college hall, using metaphors and fantasy to visualize their ideas, technologies and research results. This series of portraits is a sequel to the series Fred van Diem made for IXA in 2012.

Unveiling portrait series

The unveiling of the new series of portraits took place on Thursday April 13th in the Glazen Huis, at Amsterdam Science Park. This small exhibition was opened in the presence of the portrayed, employees and guests.

The portraits can now be admired at the three IXA locations within AMC, VU-VUmc and UvA-HvA.
