Johan Cruijff ArenA a living lab for UvA researchers

December 14, 2021

The UvA and Johan Cruijff ArenA started a partnership that aims to increase the societal impact of research in society with joint research projects. The Johan Cruijff ArenA is a vibrant innovative organization and one of the most exciting living labs in the Netherlands.

Right from the outset of the Johan Cruijff ArenA’s innovation platform the UvA has been involved in some interesting research regarding crowd management and network systems. UvA will seek to broaden the existing collaboration into other fields in which the UvA has expertise, such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, mobility and behavioural sciences. IXA-UvA invites UvA researchers to discuss potential research projects for this living lab. The HvA has preceded us with several research collaborations, and they are very enthusiastic about the opportunities a living lab such as the ArenA is offering. So if your research fits one of the six themes: Smart Building & City, Visitor Engagement, Safety & Security, Sports & Health, Sustainability, or equal Education & Employment, please contact the IXA-UvA office.
