A new partnership will develop innovative products for endoscopy and related procedures. IXA Business Developer Sanne Stembert recently visited India for this initiative. “We are joining forces to create meaningful healthcare innovations that benefit patients.”

Extensive expertise and digitalization

The Asian Institute for Gastroenterology (AIG) in Hyderabad, India, brings exceptional expertise in endoscopy, which is diagnostic procedures within the digestive tract. It is, for example, the largest endoscopy hospital in the country. Combined with India’s strong focus and investments in AI and eHealth, AIG is a highly valued partner for advancing new developments.

In the Netherlands, Jacques Bergman, Jeroen de Groof, and Martijn Jong at Amsterdam UMC are already conducting groundbreaking work in endoscopy. By significantly expanding an existing database and developing AI applications on a global scale, diagnoses can become faster and more accurate. The ongoing collaboration between Amsterdam UMC and Eindhoven University of Technology also contributes to these efforts.

Healthcare innovations as the primary goal

Sanne Stembert explains: “At IXA, we always think beyond the research projects themselves, considering how the results can be applied. By being closely involved from the start of a collaboration, we can incorporate this vision early on and build trust toward creating impactful new products together. Ultimately, that’s what drives us: improving patient care.”

Partners in the new collaboration

Medical professionals and researchers from four leading institutions are joining forces: Amsterdam UMC, Eindhoven University of Technology, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, Asian Institute for Gastroenterology in Hyderabad, India.
